![]() The Rogue One: Scarif Update added the final skin to the game: the Shoretrooper Captain body Appearance for the Empire, unlocked at Rank 100.Īll Body Appearances Rebel Alliance Image ![]() On October 31, 2016, the Cybernetic Female head Appearance was made available to all players for free via a server-side update, having been originally added to the game in the Bespin Update. With the increase in customization options for the Empire, the option for the player to be a helmet-less stormtrooper was removed in this update. The Empire also received the Pauldron Stormtrooper, Death Star Trooper, and Imperial Officer outfits. The Death Star Update also added more outfits for the Rebel Alliance, including the X-Wing Pilot and the Rebel Officer body Appearances. This new customization system allowed for the Bespin Wing Guard to exist as a body Appearance that could be paired with any of the heads that the player has unlocked (such as Human 1 or the Zabrak). The customization system was greatly expanded with the subsequent Death Star Update, which added the ability for players to pair different heads with different outfits. The Bespin Wing Guard outfit highlighted the limits of the old customization system: an outfit that featured a visible human face would make multiple players with the same outfit look like clones of each other. For the Rebels, this meant that when players selected the Bespin Wing Guard outfit, the human face would always be that of Human 8. At this point, the customization system still did not allow for dynamic pairings of different heads with outfits. The Wing Guard was the first outfit added for the Rebels. ![]() The Bespin Update added the Shock Trooper outfit as a customization option for the Galactic Empire and the Bespin Wing Guard outfit for the Rebel Alliance. The Outer Rim Update added the Weequay head Appearance for the Rebels that changed the head of their Rebel soldier to that of a male Weequay. The Rebels did not have any additional outfits. At the time, the only unlockable body outfits for the Empire were the Scout Trooper and Shadow Trooper they did not have helmet-less options. For the Imperials, this system allowed for "helmet-less stormtroopers", or stormtroopers that did not have a helmet on. Players could only customize their Rebel or Imperial character by changing the head on the faction default outfit. It did not allow for the use of different heads with different outfits. Outfits such as the Scout Trooper and Shock Trooper are helmeted and thus only allow the player to choose if their trooper is male or female.Īt launch, the character customization system was more limited. For the Galactic Empire, the player can select 18 different heads for their Imperial character if they are using the Death Star Trooper or Imperial Officer outfits. A majority of these head options can be used with any of the four Rebel outfits. The Rebels can choose from a total of 67 human heads and eight alien head options. The player can mix-and-match heads and outfits to create their own unique character, but some head options can only be used on certain outfits and by certain factions. More head and body Appearances become available for purchase as the player increases in Rank. Head and body Appearances can be bought with Credits. In Star Wars Battlefront, players have a separate character in the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire whose head and outfit they can customize with head and body Appearances.
